Our Story
Sagar Gupta grew up in Jaipur, a city that has always known how to hold beauty and function in the same hand. He studied architecture here, but his real education happened across stages, studios, and rehearsal rooms.
Theatre, music, dance, media. Long before he drew his first floor plan, Sagar was thinking about how a space makes a person feel, how it shapes the way they move, pause, and interact. That instinct never left the drafting table.
For Sagar, a room is never just walls, windows, and doors. It is a statement about the person who lives or works inside it. Get the space wrong and it quietly disrupts every routine, every mood, every relationship that unfolds within it. Get it right and people don't notice the design at all. They just feel at home.
That belief is what drives every project at SGDS, from a banquet hall holding a thousand guests to a home built for one family's particular rhythm of life.
Akshita Purohit was born in Jodhpur, the Blue City, where history is not something you read about but something you walk through every day. She grew up moving across the country, the quiet mountains of Himachal Pradesh, the vibrant culture of Bhuj in Gujarat, the relentless pace of Mumbai, before arriving in Jaipur.
Each city left its mark. Simplicity from the mountains. Celebration from Gujarat. Confidence and speed from Mumbai. Jaipur gave her independence and the understanding that no matter how far you go, your roots shape everything you make.
As Creative Head at SGDS, Akshita brings that accumulated sense of place to every project. She is the first conversation a client has and the last eye on every detail before it goes out the door.
